Main hiking trail of the Elbsandsteingebirge in Saxon Switzerland, Translating to „Painter’s path“, the trail received its name courtesy of many reputable artists who put their view of the rock formations on paper. Obviously, it’s an inspiring trail with a lot natural beauty to explore.

schwedenlöcher and the bastion
Once again we visit the beautiful environment in and around Saxon Switzerland. Arose from erosion of the supple sandstone the deep ravine is impressive to walk through. Looking for an even bolder venture? The Schwedenlöcher are part of the climbing area in Saxon Switzerland including the Schwedenturm, the region’s own climbing rock.

wimbachgrießhütte in berchtesgaden
For the last trail, we cross Germany all the way down to the south to a just as astonishing destination. Located in the national park Berchtesgaden, the Wimbachgrießhütte is a popular destination for both wanderers as well as mountaineers. Special treat? With its height of 1327 meters, you will be rewarded with an overwhelming view of the Wambachtal.
